From our family to yours, we are grateful and ecstatic you are here. Welcome home! At Healing Families Initiative, we believe in the power of the family unit and in the driving force of its individuals.

It is through self-care and empathy for ourselves and of others that keep us whole and vibrant. However, many of us were never given the instruction manual on how to practice self-care or empathy. What about the instruction manual for being a parent?!? When was that given out?!

Well, friends, you are in luck because we have such manuals! Well...we have a starting place anyway. Our classes, workshops and events will take any parent, any family, any friend on a journey that will lead you to wonderful insights into yourself, your relationships, your families and your culture(s). With years of evidence supporting our curriculum, we can guarantee you will learn something you can take with you no matter how long you've been at this thing called Life.

Our Facilitators

Mindy Minor Rodriguez

Mindy Minor Rodriguez is the Founder and Leading Facilitator at Healing Families Initiative. In this role, Mindy oversees all aspects of Healing Families Initiative's programs and day-to-day operations.

Healing Families Initiative has always been a project close to Mindy's heart; but, it did not come to fruition until the tremendous impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on her world and her family. Throughout Mindy's life and career, she has seen (and experienced) the need for more support and education for parents, for families and for individuals needing self-care and insight.

In her personal life, Mindy is a friend, a daughter, a mother (of 3!!), a sister, a spouse and so much more depending on the day and what is on the calendar. Because of her many life experiences, Mindy understands the beauty and value of healthy family bonds and how essential it is in breaking damaging cycles we face today. She also understands that before we can give to family we must first give to ourselves.

In her "free" time, Mindy enjoys reading, high-spirited fun and adventuring just about anywhere.
